In 2013, I left London to live abroad with my husband for his work in the civil service. The time away and forced break in my career, gave me the opportunity to think about what it was I really wanted to do with my career. It wasn't until 2017 that I dared to develop the concept of Lethbridge designs. I started emerging myself into Middle Eastern gold souks, obtained qualifications in jewellery making, jewellery design and gemology qualifications with GIA.
I have always been more likely to remember people's jewellery over their name. I love the sentiment and story that a piece of jewellery can have and the attachment and emotion that is developed by it's owner. Jewellery can be sentimental for so many reasons. Remembering the person who gave it to you, the person who used to wear it, the place it was bought, or the feelings it triggers.
I knew that I wanted to create all my designs in gold, ensuring the emotional attachment never outlives the piece. No perishing, no tarnishing, no re-plating. Only an ever-evolving sentiment and story that gives a lifetime of pleasure and meaning. I wanted to make gold jewellery as accessible as possible and share with customers a lifetime of excitement and love for gold.
After the best part of a decade, I moved back to London in 2021. Severn houses, three countries and three children later, the time is right to pursue my passion and turn my concept of Lethbridge into reality.
I am excited about the next 12 months which includes a new collection, selling on a major online platform (more detail to follow), bespoke designs and securing a couple of trunk shows. Most importantly I will be doing what I love and passing on the benefits of investing in accessible longevity jewellery.
All Lethbridge jewellery is made with recycled gold in a sustainable manner. While we don't hold a huge amount of stock, items are made to order and cast in Hatton Gardens, London.
Thank you for being part of the Lethbridge journey.
